About me

Proud leaner and a curious creative.

🏖️ Born in Bermuda and raised in Virginia. I’m a quirky beach girl at heart, but currently living in Richmond. I gravitated towards art at a young age from barbie coloring books and doodling Scooby-Doo to figure drawing and painting. Art became a fun outlet to express myself. I studied health sciences and public health, which led to a career in health promotion and health education.

✈️ As a health educator, I enjoyed getting to know clients and assisting lifestyle behavior changes. Also, collaborating with other educators to identify patterns and solutions to overcome behavior barriers. This helped us form connections within the community, prevent diseases, encourage wellness and improve quality of lives. My empathy with people’s way of thinking, understanding importance of decision making, and solving problems were transformed.

💕 My interest of UX design sparked during the pandemic. A time to embrace downtime, think about life, and career goals. Although, I was able to make a difference and I didn’t go on to create pieces for Art Basel. UX design was a natural transition. It was an opportunity to combine my skills of health education and love of visual design and storytelling. To be creative and translate people’s needs, the way they think into products to help make their lives easier.

🔮 I aspire to build collaboration with other designers and exposure to diverse projects to broaden my experience. Making meaningful contributions to the design community. I hope to gain opportunities to positively impact a person’s day to day life with one design at a time.
